Medical records provided by Gibson show a diagnosis of a globe rupture, retinal detachment and orbital fracture. Gibson sustained the injury while disregarding numerous orders from DeWitt County Deputy Garett Davidson. Gibson is scheduled for surgery on the eye later but is unsure how he will pay for the procedure. He is unable to work since the injury.

A mechanical supervisor with Kansas City Southern Railway Co., surveys the damage and relays information about a 20-car derailment just north of the Red River train tressel Wednesday in Ogden, Ark. The 100-container train was carrying coal and derailed about 3 p.m. No one was injured in the accident. Texarkana, Texas, firefighters and LifeNet EMTs work to free Keiston Bennett of Texarkana, Texas, from the Mustang Bennett was driving on Gin Road Tuesday afternoon. According to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Bennett was traveling south, crested a hill and hit a Pontiac Grand Prix head on. Bennett was taken to St. Michael's hospital in critical condition. The 17-year-old driver of the Pontiac was not seriously injured and was released at the scene.

A train goes by as Bowie County Sheriff's detectives investigate a body discovered on South Bend Road early Friday morning. The body was later identified as David Earl Neal, 18, of Texarkana, Texas.

Ihab El Mahmoud of Orlando, Florida is taken in handcuffs from Swampoodle Creek near Richmond Road by Texarkana, Texas police. Tuesday afternoon. Mahmoud, 28, attacked the officers after they attempted to check on him as he was lying in the water. Mahmoud was taken to the Bi-State Justice Center where he was booked on three counts of assault on a public servant.

David Williams, 67, sits down to have a meal delivered by Meals on Wheels through the Community Action Committee of Victoria. The nonprofit located on Halsey Street serves on average 250 plus meals a day Mon-Fri. Community Action Committee offers seniors and low income residence a variety of aid opportunities.

Eva and Elias Lopez hold their son's hard hat at the site of his fatal crash about four miles from the family home. Abraham Lopez, 24, died this past October. In a single vehicle accident on Farm-to-Market Road 237. Near Ohrt Road in Mission Valley. The family erected a memorial. The cause of the accident is unknown. Eva said she hopes the memorial will spur other drivers to pay attention to their surroundings.
